Situated on our working farm in the pretty hamlet of Garston - near the village of Whiston, Staffordshire – The Old Sty is a stunning single-storey holiday cottage for two people.

Whether it’s walking, cycling, sightseeing or relaxing that you’re after, The Old Sty is the perfect base.  

Nestled on the western fringes of the Peak District, there is an abundance of great walking and cycling paths on the doorstep, as well as easy access to the gems of the national park, including Chatsworth House, Ilam Estate, Haddon Hall and Lyme Park.

Adrenaline junkies will not be disappointed either, as The Old Sty is only a 10-minute drive away from the UK’s biggest theme park, Alton Towers.

The surrounding rural villages, Alton and Denstone, boast an extensive array of eateries and shops, including the award-winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop – so there are plenty of opportunities to pick up some artisan treats for dinner.

And when you head back to The Old Sty, you can always drop in at your neighbours and say hello to…  our Dorset and Valais Blacknose sheep and our three Huacaya alpacas.
